Sonari resident�s swab tests virus-negative

SONARI, April 5 - The swab sample of one Faizul Ali of Mohan Gaon under Sonari Police Station, who attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Markaz Nizamuddin in Delhi tested negative today at ICMR, Lahowal, Dibrugarh, which is the lone authorised laboratory of the Indian Council of Medical Research for the North East region.

Another Jamatee of South Sonari Pani Tanki Jamat, who too reportedly attended the Markaz event at Nizamuddin is still at Uttar Pradesh, reliable sources informed.

Meanwhile, the Charaideo district administration has urged all those who attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Markaz Nizamuddin to come voluntarily and inform the administration within today, else stern action will be initiated against them.

Charaideo Deputy Commissioner Palash Ranjan Gharphalia convened a meeting of representatives of all religions in his conference hall today and sought cooperation from them in containing further spread of coronavirus.

Representatives of Sonari Bor Naamghar management committee, Shiva Mandir committee, Harisabha, Sarvajanin Kali Mandir, Sadar Masjid, Catholic Church, Gurudwara Committee, Benuban Buddha Vihar committee were present in the meeting.

Superintendent of Police Ananda Mishra, Additional deputy commissioners Jitu Kumar Das, Pranab Kumar Bora and Dipok Kumar Bhuyan, Additional SP Mrinal Deka, SDPO Tridip Kumbang, DSP Puskal Gogoi and Anita Hazarika, Election Officer Lukumoni Bora and SDIPRO Jayanta Mout were also present, among others, in the meeting.
