JORABAT, Oct 3 - The condition of Magursila LP School, which is about 20 kilometres from Sonapur in Nartap gaon panchayat, is pathetic as the teacher hardly comes to the school.
There are around 100 students in the school, who often have to go back home due to absence of the teacher.
The school, which was established in 1951, has only one teacher, who seldom comes to school, alleged the guardians of the students.
The guardians alleged that the teacher comes to school only 2-4 times in a month and that too around 11 am or 12 noon. And after taking class for one or two hours, he goes away.
The guardians further alleged that the pipes and other materials that were brought for providing drinking water to the school, are lying unused in the classrooms. They have demanded of the State education department to take remedial steps at the earliest.
