KOKRAJHAR, March 16 - The Agia Brigade of Red Horns Division of Indian Army under the Gajaraj Corps recently distributed solar lamps to locals in Ultapani village in Kokrajhar district near the Indo-Bhutan border.
The Army in association with the District Sports Officer J Mohilary distributed 250 solar lanterns at Ultapani village in the presence of a large number of villagers and many prominent dignitaries with an aim to improve the living conditions of the people dwelling in far-flung and remote areas and not having access to electricity.
The locals were grateful to the Army for their efforts in assisting the locals in various ways.
