IMPHAL, Sept 20 � The body of an abducted Naga social worker was recovered from an interior area of Imphal East district of Manipur, police officials said today.
The body of Ngamreishang Ningshen, former vice president of Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong, a Tangkhul Naga civil organisation, was recovered from Thayong village area yesterday.
Ningshen (38), who came from his native Ukhrul district to the house of a relative at Imphal, was abducted by at least five persons on September 17.
The family members of Ningshen, whose body bore several injury marks, suspected involvement of a hill-based militant outfit in the kidnapping and killing as they had allegedly received threats from the group. � PTI
