GUWAHATI, June 23 - The craze among tech savvy generation to get online reviews before venturing into anything new, has led an Assamese woman to launch a social networking platform for sharing authentic experience, through videos.

�Talkeees�, with the three �e� s denoting expectations, experiences and emotions is a newly developed social networking platform, where one can upload and see videos of authentic experiences of anything under the sun including places, products, experiences et al.

Kohuwa Baruah and her partner, are working on making talkeees more user- friendly by expanding its reach among the maximum Internet and smart phone users. Mobile app of the networking platform is available on iOS and Android.

A post-graduate in mass communication with the experience of a PR officer for Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India (Taiwan Embassy), Kohuwa is presently based in Bangalore. While explaining the concept, she told The Assam Tribune that talkeees would fill the need for a one-stop window for all types of experience, where one can benefit through others� experiences.

�Many a time, we hit the search button before buying a product, availing some services and surely before visiting any new place, but cannot find authentic personal experiences. It happened with the co-founder of talkeees during his first trip to Dubai in 2014, not as a tourist but as an MBA student.

�Despite the do�s and dont�s list, some additional information was required as a student. Further, he was supposed to travel to Sydney and Singapore. Like most of the students, he too had no idea about the best ways to survive. Thus, the whole idea of sharing the experiences through videos came into being, where others can get a first-hand account supported by authentic videos,� she added.

The main purpose of talkeees is to simplify the decision-making process through short videos of up to 45 seconds length. Like other standard networking apps, it has the features like feedback, hashtag, trending videos, proximity locater, etc. A 24�7 IT team supports the startup project.

�Before taking any decision � be it purchasing something, going to a place, joining a college, watching a movie, going to a restaurant, going to the next startup event or watching a news debate for that matter � if you want authentic experiences of people in limited time and take better and informed decisions, then you must be on talkeees,� she further added.
