GUWAHATI, Oct 3 - Guwahati Barowari Puja Committee, Paltan Bazar has drawn up an elaborate programme for Durga Puja. A release said that apart from the usual religious rituals on the Puja days, two social awareness programmes will be held. The first will be distribution of paper and cloth bags among the people to keep up with the plastic-free initiative. Secondly, in order to make motor vehicle drivers aware about traffic rules, free helmets will be distributed. The organisers have urged the people to cooperate and make the Puja a success.
