AIZAWL, Dec 18 - The Serchhip Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles recovered 11,500 kg of areca nuts at Ruantlang in Champhai district near the Myanmar border on Friday.
The operation was carried out by a team of the Assam Rifles and the Customs Department, Champhai district, on the basis of specific information.
The approximate value of the recovered areca nuts is Rs 33,60,000, an Assam Rifles source said.
