Six more die of COVID-19 in Tripura

AGARTALA, Oct 1 - COVID-19 has claimed six more lives in Tripura while 324 new cases were detected in the State in the past 24 hours.

So far, 280 people have lost their lives to the virus in the State. The Health Department said the State�s fatality rate stands at 1.09 percent while the positivity rate is 6.61 percent and recovery rate is 78.06 percent.

Currently, the State has 5,359 active cases and 20,069 COVID patients have recovered so far.

Of 3,89,15 samples tested so far, 25,711 have turned out to be positive in the State.

�Although six patients have died in the past 24 hours, the overall situation is improving in the State,� a senior Health Department official said.

Keeping in mind the gradual decline in the number of COVID cases in the last couple of days, the State Government has decided to lift night curfew from tonight.
