Sivasagar set up final date with Tinsukia

GUWAHATI, May 15 � A 52-run partnership for the seventh wicket between captain Krishi Agarwal and Debabrat Gogoi saw the day through for Sivasagar as they beat Nalbari by three wickets in the second semifinal of the U-13 Umamanda Bora Memorial Inter District Cricket Tournament.

Now Sivasagar will lock horns with Tinsukia on May 18.

In the low scoring but close second semifinal of the championship, played at the Barsapara stadium here today, Nalbari were all out for 85 in 23.2 overs. In-form batsman Nihar Dutta top scored with 42 off 66 deliveries while Akash Saha and Krishi Agarwal came out with three wickets each. Chasing the small target Sivasagar were in trouble at the initial stage losing six wickets for 29. But Krishi Agarwal and Debabrat Gogoi got their act together and stitched the match winning 84-ball 52-run partnership which snatched the match from the jaws of defeat in 26 overs.
