TINSUKIA, March 7 - Sivasagar entered the last-four stage of the 9th Veterans Inter District and Inter Institutional T-20 Cricket Tournament with a 42-run victory against Golaghat.
In another pre quarterfinal match of the championship at the Katchujan Field here today, Kamrup trounced Nalbari by eight wickets and made it to the quarterfinals.
In the first match of the day, Nalbari electing to bat first scored 67 runs in 18.2 overs. In reply Kamrup crossed the opponents� total in 10.4 overs. Kaushik Ojha top scored with 42. Bhaskarjyoti Barman of Kamrup was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his four-wicket haul.
In the second match of the day, Sivasagar piled up 135 in their allotted 20 overs losing 6 wickets and in reply Golaghat were all out for 93 runs in 17.5 overs. Utpal Saikia of Sivasagar received the Man-of-the-Match award.
