SIVASAGAR, Dec 19 - Host Sivasagar emerged champions in the 10th edition of the RG Baruah AASU Gold Cup Football Tournament.
In the final played at Gargaon last evening, Sivasagar outshot Kamrup 4-2 via tie breaker. The match was ended 1-1 in the regulation time.
Tinku Baglari put Sivasagar 1-0 up in the 15th minute while Bhagyajit Rabha drew parity in the 23rd minute.
In the closing function, SP Sivasagar Subodh Kumar Sonowal, DC Narayan Konwar, DC Charaideo Bibekananda Phukan, AASU adviser Samujjal Bhattacharyya, president Dipanka Kumar Nath, secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi were present in the closing function.
