The Sivasagar District Journalists’ Association (SDJA), affiliated to the Assam State Journalists’ Union, in an emergent meeting held in its Zenganikatia office decided to hold the biennial district conference on January 22-23 at the Sivasagar Yuva Dal auditorium. The first day’s programme will be held in its own office campus.
It will be addressed by two resource persons, Dr Jyoti Prakas Saikia and Dr Pranjal Buragohain from Dibrigarh University. The delegates’ meet and election of new office-bearers will be held in the evening. The meeting was presided over by Manoj Kr Borthakur, president of the reception committee, and attended by Joyjyoti Gogoi, secretary, SDJA, Kumar Abhijit Duwora, Bhairob Munda, Mustaqur Rahman, Himangshu Neog, Ratu Kr Das and others. – Correspondent
