SIVASAGAR, Nov 16 - Sivasagar Football Coaching Club defeated Rajmai XI by a solitary goal in the Sivasagar Football League final played at the Boarding Field today.
The all important goal was scored by Lucky Baruah midway through the second session. Jinto Sonowal (Best player of the tournament), Bhorot Bhumiz (Best player of final), Rohit Pandov (Highest goal scorer), Syamol Kanwar (Best goalkeeper), Udoy Shankar (Best emerging player) were the individual prize winners.
In the closing function, anchored by Manoj Kr Bhagawati, sports organizers Hiren Gogoi, Sumonta Dutta (international referee), Pranobjit Chaliha, Sarat Hazarika, Haren Duwarah and Prasanta Barthakur gave away the prizes. The tournament was organized by the Sivasagar Sports Association.
T20 tourney from Nov 28
GUWAHATI, Nov 16: The River Rine T20 Invitational All Assam Cricket Tournament will kick start at the Judges� Field here on November 28.
The tournament will be played in league-cum-knock out basis. Teams intending to take part may contact the organizers at their Latashil playground office before November 24.
