IMPHAL, Dec 28 � The Film Forum Manipur, Manipur State Shumang Leela Council and Apunba Manipur Matam Ishei Kanglup in association with civil society organisations in the State staged a sit-in demonstration here today demanding justice in the alleged molestation and assault of Manipuri actress Momoko by a cadre of NSCN (IM) at Chandel on December 18.
Several leaders of the civil society organisations such as All Manipur United Clubs Organisation and United Committee Manipur attended the sit-in.
Later, the meeting decided to suspend all forms of entertainment programmes in the State until their demands are fulfilled.
The meet also resolved to continue the sit-in protest tomorrow besides holding protest rallies.
Meanwhile, the three member Investigation Committee into the killing of TV journalist Thangjam Dwijamani alias Nanao met here today.
The committee today recorded statements of three more persons including two individuals who took video footage of December 23 protest incident.
The committee is expected to meet again tomorrow, sources added. Yesterday, the committee conducted a spot inquiry at Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai where the incident took place. The committee has been directed to submit the report to the government within a week.
Meanwhile, the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), an apex body of the Tangkhul community here has expressed shock over the Napetpalli incident where one girl was allegedly molested by a youth who claims to be a cadre of banned KCP. In a statement, the TNL urged the Tangkhul community to be at constant vigil against the alleged �devilish� policies of the Government of Manipur.
