Sikkim�s COVID-19 death toll reaches 13

GANGTOK, Sept 13 - Two more persons died from COVID-19 in Sikkim in the last 24 hours, taking the State�s death toll to 13.

One of the deceased was a 40-year-old man who was employed as a civilian cook with the Army at Chaten in North Sikkim.

According to the latest health bulletin from the State government, he was brought dead to the hospital. He was tested positive after his death.

Another man, aged 37 years, also died of the infection earlier this evening. He was undergoing treatment at the STNM hospital since September 8, the health bulletin said.

Altogether 29 persons, including a two-day-old baby of a COVID positive woman, tested positive in the past 24 hours.
