Sikkim CM invited to NEC, NEDA meets

GANGTOK, Sept 3 - In a courtesy visit, Assam MLA Ashok Singhal called on Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Monday and congratulated the latter on the victory in the recently held Assembly elections in the Himalayan State.

Singhal also extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to attend the meeting of the North Eastern Council (NEC), scheduled to be held at Guwahati on September 8, and a meeting of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) on September 9. It may be mentioned here that the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha is also a part of the NEDA.

Lok Sabha member Indra Hang Limboo will also attend the NEDA meeting.
