GUWAHATI, June 22 � One Armed Branch SI Diganta Kumar Das of the city police has been placed under suspension on charges of negligence of duty after he was found asleep while on duty this morning. Sources said that during a surprise check this morning, the Commissioner of Police, Mukesh Agarwala found that Das was sleeping at the Paltanbazar police station. Das was supposed to be on patrolling duty till 8 am but he was found sleeping at the police station at around 6.45 am.
