IMPHAL, March 16 - Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has expelled Congress MLA-elect Thounaojam Shyamkumar for six years from the party�s primary membership for not responding to party�s show cause notice, according to Congress sources here.
The show cause notice was reportedly issued on March 13 asking Shyamkumar to respond by 11 am of March 15, the source added. Since the MLA-elect from Andro Assembly constituency on Congress ticket failed to reply to the show cause, he has been expelled from the primary membership of the party for six years on Wednesday. The Congress MLA-elect Shyamkumar was sworn in on Wednesday.
