GUWAHATI, July 7 - Dixita Gogoi will take on her Dibrugarh compatriot Dhanjita Medhi for the girls� U-10 title in the second All Assam Ranking Badminton Tournament organised by the Don Bosco Alumni, Guwahati.

In the semifinals played at the Don Bosco School, Panbazar premises here today, Dixita defeated Manonta Kalita of Tezpur 21-5, 21-7 while Dhanjita downed Sankrity Kotoky of Golaghat 21-16, 21-10.

In the other groups seeded players went ahead with victories against their opponents.

Meanwhile, the 8th All Assam Open Ranking Table Tennis Championship got under way today at the same venue.

The opening ceremony of the championships also held at the Don Bosco auditorium today amidst great enthusiasm.

In table tennis championship about 300 players from all over the State are taking part.
