Shuttler Ningshi bags national title

DIBRUGARH, Oct 19 - Ningshi Block Hazarika of Assam and her partner Riya Mukherjee of Uttar Pradesh bagged the U-19 Girls� Doubles title in the 24th Shrimati Krishna Khaitan Memorial All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament, held at Chandigarh from October 12 to 18 October.

Ningshi and Riya duo entered into the finals defeating Anura Prabhudesai of Goa and Sonika Sai of Andhra Pradesh 21-13, 9-21, 19-21. In the final they won against the Karnataka pair Mahima Agarwal and Sikha Gautam scoring 21-14, 19-21, 19-21. On the other hand Ashmita Chaliha of Assam became runner-up in the U-17 girls� singles.
