GUWAHATI, March 5 � The Silver Jubilee celebration of the Shri Krishna Mandir, Forest Gate, Narengi here has been scheduled from March 5 to 7.
The event will begin with the hoisting of the flag, community worship and lunch during the day, followed by Aarti and Nagara Naam by artistes Achyut Deka and Bolo Ram Deka in the evening. The second day will be dedicated to community Holi where young and old alike would indulge in the festival of colours to strengthen the bond of harmony in society. The third and final day will begin with a Bhagawat procession and community lunch.
A souvenir Banamali will be released by Sujit Kumar Baruah in presence of persons from the field of academics and literature. A discussion on spiritual thoughts will be attended by Dr Dharanidhar Goswami, Dr Niranjan Kalita and Dr Purna Bhattacharjya. The jubilee celebrations would conclude with an award distribution ceremony and a cultural programme.
