GUWAHATI, May 4 - The 3rd edition of the All Assam Shito Ryu Karate Championship got off today at the Bhogeswari Phukanani Indoor Stadium, here with a two-day programme.

The championship is being organised by the Shito-Ryu Karate Do Promotion Council of UKAA in association with the Greater Karate Do Association in which 320�players from 10 districts in different groups of Shito-Ryu Karate Style Association under UKAA are taking part. A day-long Kata and Kumite seminar was held today for the all participating players of the championship which was conducted by the Indian team coach Sawan Kumar.

Competition will be conducted in 92 different events in the sub-junior (6-13 yrs),�cadet (14-15 yrs), junior (16-17 yrs) and senior (both male and female) categories.
