By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Sept 21 The Save Guwahati Build Guwahati (SGBG) has welcomed the new scientific plan taken up by the district administration for traffic management of the Guwahati city, asking the common people to cooperate in the smooth traffic management of the city.

A meeting of the SGBG, presided over by its president Dhiren Baruah, asked the district administration to take special initiative to solve the issues of some of the roads of Guwahati that have been hitherto neglected by the administration.

TR Phookun Road, SRCB Road, Murlidhar Sarma Road, the road in front of Baragola, Chamber Road, Lakshmigali etc., are some of the examples of blatant violation of the traffic rules and regulations. Moreover, the loading-unloading work on the MG Road is another issue that requires special attention of the authorities, said a statement from the NGO.

The SGBG also asked the authorities to make arrangements for parking facilities under the flyovers on GS Road and AT Road for the greater convenience of the people of Guwahati. The NGO also asked the administration to take measures for making the roads of Fancy Bazar more accessible for the people of Guwahati.
