GUWAHATI, Nov 8 - The annual school sports meet of city-based St. Francis De Sales (SFS) HS School is going on at the school premises.
The main attraction of the week-long sports meet is the SFS Challenge Inter School Basketball Championship where 33 teams are taking part. Around 1000 students are taking part in different events organised on the occasion.
Biswajit Pegu, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup Metro, who is an alumni of SFS Institutions, inaugurated the meet. He also released the 11th edition of school newsletter � Desalite News & More. Rev Fr Josh MSFS the superior was also present as the guest of honour in the opening ceremony. Rev Fr George Thomas, the principal addressed the gathering in his welcome speech. The closing ceremony will take place tomorrow.
