GUWAHATI, Nov 3 � Host St Francis De Sales Higher Secondary School made a clean sweep clinching both the boys and girls titles in the 8th SFS Challenger�s Trophy All Guwahati Inter School Basketball Tournament.
In the finals played at their school premises, Satgaon here last evening, the St Francis De Sales Higher Secondary School�s boys team defeated Sarla Birla Gyan Jyoti 38-19 and their girls team trounced KV Maligaon 51-37.
The four-day championship witnessed some quality performances from the participating teams from Guwahati and Jagiroad. Altogether twenty six schools took part in the meet.
In the closing function journalist Subodh Malla Baruah, former State player Anusuya Baruah, other guests like Madhu Nath Sarma and Derbesz Ali were present and they gave away the prizes.
