Seven more test positive at Nagaon

NAGAON, June 1 - Seven more persons from the district after their arrival from outside the State, have tested COVID-19 positive till this afternoon.

Sources said that all these people were quarantined at various CCC and home after arrival from Maharashtra and Bihar respectively on May 24 and 25 last. Following the confirmation of infection, the district medical surveillance teams immediately rushed to those quarantine centres and shifted all of them to Nagaon Swahid Bhugeswari Phookonani Civil Hospital for further treatment for COVID-19.

According to sources, people who have been confirmed with COVID-19 infection are � Suman Barman (25) of Haribhanga; Subham Barman (24) of Ambagan under Rupahihat PS; Mamoni Das (22) of 1 no. Puthimari under Kochuwa PS; Normal Paul (25) of Timungaon under Dalimbari; Ratna Das (38) of 1 no. Khalihamari; Nirmal Das (35) of 1 no. Puthimari and Ratul Das (22) of Khalihamari under Kochuwa PS. Except Mamoni Das, they were all quarantined at Adarsha Vidyalaya, Laokhuwa, Raha College, Kampur HSS and Kochuwa HS School, Mamoni Das was quarantined at home.

Meanwhile, other 24 people who had arrived from outside the State were screened today after their arrival at Nagaon.
