BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 28 - Police arrested seven persons, including three sons of the victim last night in connection with the murder of an aged woman at No. 2 Batamari village under Jamuguri police station in Biswanth district.
According to information available here, one Dipali Munda (68) was brutally tortured to death by her three sons viz., Lakhi Munda (35), Jagat Munda (27) and Sanjay Munda (22) on Saturday night. They also beat up her son-in-law, Rabet Barla suspecting an illicit relationship between them. Later, they threw away the dead body in the Jiabharali river and left Rabet on the bank of the river in a serious condition. Rabet�s family found him in a field the following morning and admitted him to a hospital.
A case was also registered with the police. Investigating into the matter, police managed to arrest the trio from their hideouts along with four other accomplices namely Jiten Munda, Ganesh Munda, Paresh Munda and Miri Munda.
