Serology survey held at GPC

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Sept 13 - Close to 90 city-based journalists were screened for antibody (serology survey) at a camp organised on Sunday by the Gauhati Press Club (GPC) in association with Srijon-Asom, a non-governmental organisation, and the Medicity Guwahati Group of Clinic and Diagnostics.

The antibody screening camp was organised as part of the serology survey being conducted across the State, keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, GPC president Manoj Kumar Nath and general secretary Sanjoy Ray said the camp was organised especially for full-time journalists who are no less than frontline workers.

Dr Khalil Siddiqui of the Medicity Guwahati Group of Clinic and Diagnostics, while speaking on the occasion, said the survey would go a long way in policy making vis--vis the fight against the pandemic. The reports of the screening, which will arrive within a few days, will be sent to the journalists individually, the GPC general secretary said.
