GUWAHATI, May 6 - The Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Sepak Takraw Federation of India, in collaboration with the Asian Sepak Takraw Federation organised an online 11-day coaching workshop from April 25 to May 5. This programme was initiated by the SAI and Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India from Delhi during the lockdown period where 700 players and coaches from 28 states took part.

Dato Abdul Halim Bin Kader, president, Asian Sepak Takraw Federation inaugurated the coaching workshop while Boon Hai Lorhpitat, secretary general, Asian Sepak Takraw Federation was present in the closing ceremony yesterday.

Informing this in a release, Bishnu Ram Nunisa, joint secretary of the Tawkwondo Federation of India and secretary of the Assam Sepak Takraw Association stated that the online programme was organised in order to keep the players all over the country applying latest techniques.
