SIVASAGAR, Dec 20 - Sensation prevails here in the wake of allegations of sexual abuse of some inmates of the Joysagar-based children�s home, Swapnalay, by its former superintendent, Parag Goswami.
Meanwhile, Goswami has refuted the allegations and termed them as �concocted�.
Dipali Bhattacharya Baruah, a member of the District Child Care Committee, said that the matter was sub judice, and that the truth would come out once the legal process took its course. When asked why Goswami has not been arrested, Sivasagar SP Subodh Sonowal said that he is on bail received from the Gauhati High Court.
Meanwhile, Farid Islam Bora, secretary of Aikya Sena, who filed an FIR against Parag Goswami in the Sivasagar Police Station on Wednesday, alleged that Goswami had sexually abused a girl. The Aikya Sena staged a road blockade in protest against the �indifference of the authority towards the plight of the victim girl�, a couple of days back.
The victim, Bora claimed, had tried to commit suicide seeking justice.
