GUWAHATI, Feb 27 - The State government today transferred a number of senior police officers, including officers of the rank of Superintendents of Police.
An official notification issued in this regard said that Prasanta Kumar Dutta has been transferred and posted as SP (BIEO), while VSP Ganjala has been posted as the Commandant of the Commando Battalion. Lachit Baruah has been posted as DCP (Border), Guwahati; Sanjiv Shekhar Roy has been posted as Commandant of the 15th AP (IR) Battalion; Amitabh Sinha has been posted as AIG (Welfare and Sports); Amrit Bhuyan has been posted as SP, Majuli while Indrani Baruah has been posted as the Commandant of the 10th APBn.
Dambarudhar Hazarika, in-charge of the 9th APBn, was posted as ADCP (Security) Capital Complex, Dispur, Commissionerate of Police, Guwahati. It has also transferred Gayatri Sonowal, ACP (Police Reserve), Commissionerate of Police, Guwahati, and posted her as SDPO, Titabor.
