GUWAHATI, April 15 - Senior sports journalist Pranjal Hazarika died at Jorhat on April 13 after a prolonged illness.
Hazarika, 46 was sports correspondent of Asomiya Pratidin. He was also associated with Assamese dailies like Agradoot, Khabor, Niyamiya Barta among others.
He was the treasurer of the Assam Sports Journalists Association for several years. Hazarika was also the general secretary of the JB College Students� Union, Jorhat. ASJA condoled the untimely demise of the senior journalist. He leaves behind wife and a minor son.
