SHILLONG, May 25 - Former Executive Editor of local Daily Meghalaya Guardian, SS Jha passed away on Sunday at Hyderabad following cardiac arrest. He was 79.
The Shillong Press Club mourned the sudden demise of late Jha and described him as a �versatile journalist and wonderful human being.�
�Many beginners during his tenure at Meghalaya Guardian, who are now senior journalists, will always be thankful to �Jhaji� for hand holding them and shaping them into seasoned journalists today,� the Shillong Press club said in a statement.
Late Jha was associated with GL Publications from 1990. He leaves behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.
