GUWAHATI, Oct 26 � The Executive Director (Designate) of the Digboi Refinery of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Kaushik Bora is missing and it is still not known whether he has been kidnapped.
Police sources said Bora left his residence in his own Maruti Alto car around 10 am. At the time of leaving, he told his family that he was going to office. But as he did not return home for lunch till 4 pm, his wife called up his office to find that he did not reach office.
Sources said that immediately after receiving the information, police swung into action and later located the car inside the IOC campus itself. The car was locked but there was no trace of Bora. Senior police officers rushed to the spot and investigations are on.
Sources said it is still not clear whether the IOC officer was kidnapped or not and there was no report of any threat to him. The family has not received any demand note so far, sources said.
