GUWAHATI, June 14 � Indian Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Centre, a leading yoga institution in North-east India, organised a seminar � �Yoga and Human Resource Development� on June 13 at the Guwahati Press Club here as part of the month-long observation of the First International Day of Yoga, to be celebrated on June 21, according to a press release today.

Dr Rudra Moni Dubey, Chairman of the Pollution Control Board, Assam and chief patron of the First International Day of Yoga Celebration Committee, Assam, inaugurated the seminar. Dr Dinesh Baishya, former principal, B Barooah College and noted academician, delivered the keynote address.

Dr Manasi Mandal, Associate Professor, Physiology, Gauhati Medical College; Dr Biju Das, Medical Officer; Debdas Sinha, co-ordinator Vidya Bharati, Assam; Asim Krishna Das, preacher and Shantanu Roy Chowdhury, Assistant Professor Pandu College, presented papers covering different aspects of the topic.

Yogacharya Subhashish, president, Indian Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Centre, conducted the programme, the release added.
