BOKAKHAT, Sept 16 - A seminar on sports journalism and photography was held at the Jugananda Deva Satradhikar Goswami (JDSG) College here yesterday.

Sports journalists Subodh Malla Baruah, Bidyut Kalita, Pabitra Gogoi and photo journalist Anupam Nath spoke on various subjects regarding sports journalism and sports photography in the day-long seminar.

The principal of the JDSG College, Dr Jayanta Gogoi, while welcoming the gathering gave details about the college which is the lone higher education centre in the entire locality near Kaziranga National Park. The college is also equipped with a full-sized football ground, a track, one gym, one volleyball court and an indoor hall which is near to completion.

Local senior journalist Jitu Sarma Rajkhowa inaugurated the seminar.

Assistant professor of the college Subodh Bora while anchoring the event said that the seminar was sponsored by the KK Handique State Open University Study centre. Above 50 students, both boys and girls took part in the seminar.
