Seminar on �Naya Bharat Hum Karke Rahenge�

IMPHAL, Sept 18 - Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Babul Supriyo inaugurated a two-day exhibition-cum-seminar on �Naya Bharat Hum Karke Rahenge� and took a pledge for a New India during a function in Imphal on Monday.

The Union Minister also administered �Sankalp Se Siddhi� (New India Pledge) to make the country free from corruption, poverty, communalism, terrorism and casteism. The pledge was followed by the National Anthem.

The focus of the exhibition was on India�s freedom movement from 1857 to 1947 showing the various activities initiated to attain freedom from the British rule. Besides, the period of five years (1942 to 1947) which would reflect to show how the movement of India�s struggle for freedom transformed the entire country into one to fight against the British rule.

The programme is being organised with the purpose of spreading Prime Minister�s message among the people of the country to help in achieving the vision of New India, according to the organisers.
