Seminar held at Patacharkuchi

PATACHARKUCHI, Aug 15 - A seminar was held on Saturday at Patacharkuchi Girls� High School under the aegis of Patacharkuchi Police Station as a part of Independence Day celebrations.

The seminar was conducted by social worker and educationist Munindra Narayan Goswami while Paresh Ch Das anchored the programme. The seminar began with a chorus.

In his speech, Superintendent of Police of Barpeta district Siladitya Chetia explained the significance of the Independence Day and appealed to the people to celebrate the day with various meaningful programmes. As part of the celebration, the police officials have arranged various programmes like essay writing competition, volleyball, football competitions etc.

Ramandep Kour, Bajali SDPO, also spoke on the occasion explaining the sacrifice of freedom fighters for making the independent.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Bajali College Principal Dr Manoj Kumar Mahanta appealed to the people come forward with a positive mindset and celebrate the occasion.
