Seminar at FA Ahmed College, Garoimari

MIRZA, Feb 15 - A two-day national-level seminar on �Immigration in Assam and its Impact on Indigenous Ethnicity: Its Solution through NRC� will be held at the FA Ahmed College at Garoimari in Kamrup district on March 18 and 19, stated a press release.

The seminar has been organised by the Department of Economics of FA Ahmed College and has been sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research under the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi.

The seminar will be moderated by Dr M Seikh Mozibar Rahman, Assistant Professor of FA Ahmed College where the resource persons would be Prof Gurudas Das from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT, Silchar, Dr Nandita Saikia, Department of Economics, JNU, Professor Mrinal Kanti Dutta from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT, Guwahati, Dr Gargee Chakraborty, Department of Economics, Institute of Development Studies, Kolkata, former Professor of Gauhati University Abdul Mannan, Prof Dev Kumar Chakraborty, Department of Economics, Dibrugarah University and Dr Dinesh Das, PG Department of Economics, Gossaigaon College.

The organising committee has invited write-ups and paper for presentation on the particular topic. The papers will be selected through a peer review process and the selected papers will be published. The last day for abstract submission is February 27 and communication of acceptance of abstract papers is March 1.
