MANGALDAI, Nov 16 - Darrang Police arrested one Sahar Ali (55), a self-styled MBBS practitioner and also seized medical equipment, many injections, bottles with saline, needles and allopathic medicines from his illegal practice chamber at his residential campus at Bihudiya village under Kharupetia Police Station.
Talking to this correspondent SP, Darrang Amrit Bhuya said, �We laid a trap before a police team led by DSP Anita Hazarika on Thursday night caught the class X pass self-styled physician red handed. He was illegally treating patients, pushing saline, injections and prescribing medicines in lieu of money.� A case (No. 480 /2019) u/s 420/419 IPC has been registered in Kharupetia Police Station and on Friday the accused was sent to judicial custody through the court. He was running the illegal practice for the last four years,� SP Bhuya added.
