AIZAWL, July 30 - Mizoram Government has prohibited assembly of more than four persons in nine villages where protest is being organised by teachers and students of nine community-run schools demanding an upgrade to ad-hoc status.
However, despite section 144 being clamped, the stir has continued in four villages.
The nine villages where road blockade and closure of all government offices and institutions have been organised since Thursday last week fall under four districts � Aizawl, Champhai, Lunglei, Mamit and Serchhip. The concerned district magistrates imposed Section 144 of IPC since Sunday night at the instructions of Home Minister R Lalzirliana.
