SHILLONG, March 19 - East Khasi Hills district administration has promulgated an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting assembly of five or more persons within a radius of 500 metres of the State Assembly at Rilbong here.
Similar restrictions have been put in place within a radius of 100 metres of Main and Additional Secretariat. The order was imposed as there is likelihood that groups may organise demonstrations near the Meghalaya Assembly during the Budget Session.
