KALAIGAON, Feb 26 - It was a never before experience for a few students appearing for the HSLC examination at Kalaigaon HS School centre, when the SEBA secretary personally interacted with them after the examination hours, regarding the standards of HSLC examination question papers.
Suranjana Senapati, secretary, SEBA visited the HSLC examination centre at Kalaigaon HS School on February 22 at 11.30 am. She visited the examination rooms and halls in order to study the conditions and conduct of the examination. Later, she interacted with hundreds of students after the examination hours. On the occasion, she explained various new activities, curriculum and syllabus of SEBA. The SEBA secretary advised the students to study a few new vocational subjects like: Health Care, Tourism, Private Security etc., launched by SEBA and RMSA under NSQF (National Skills Qualifications Framework). She also took note of students� opinions regarding the standard of the HSLC examination question papers this year.
The students were happy to share their feelings and pointed out a few minor mistakes in the question papers. The SEBA secretary also met a few meritorious students of the centre. Later, she had talks with the centre in-charge Jaba Kumari Kalita, former Inspector of Schools, Udalguri Nabin Chandra Boro and two supervising officers appointed by SEBA. She requested the centre officials to introduce as many as new subjects launched under NSQF. According to her, schools do not need to obtain SEBA permission to introduce new SEBA and RMSA approved subjects in schools.
