GUWAHATI, Aug 18 - Guwahati city police has written to the Facebook authorities to delete a page which was created by some miscreants in the name of a city-based restaurant a few days back.
In his complaint lodged at Paltanbazar Police Station, the owner of the restaurant alleged that the miscreants posted a fake advertisement about discount on food items in his restaurant on online sale mode through the Facebook page.
Sources said that a number of people fell prey to the miscreants and lost all the savings from their bank accounts.
Moon Prakash Tiwari, officer-in-charge of Paltanbazar PS informed that the offence was committed by a gang from outside the city and investigation is on to trace them.
