GUWAHATI, July 23 - Sealing the international border with Bangladesh is a priority for both the Central and State governments, asserted Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Addressing the first convention of the Seemanta Chetana Manch here today, Sonowal said that the international border must be sealed to protect the country. He said infiltration of foreign nationals and smuggling has become a major problem and only the sealing of the border would resolve it.
The Chief Minister said that modern scientific methods would be used to seal the international riverine border.
