IMPHAL, June 5 � Tarapot Phanjoubam, journalist and former manager of PTI�s bureau in Imphal, has passed away. He was 63 and is survived by wife Th Jamini, a son and two daghters.
A widely-read person and writer of several books including two on Manipur insurgency, Tarapot died at the Regional Institute of Medical Science hospital here on the night of June 3.
Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today condoled Tarapot�s death. In his condolence message, Singh said he would be remembered for his dedication to service. � PTI
