GUWAHATI, March 21 - South Central Railway (SCR) and North Central Rly (NCR) sailed into the last-four stage of the All India Railway Cricket Tournament.
In the two-day quarterfinals SCR defeated Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) by 71 runs at the Barsapara stadium while NCR prevailed over Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) by eight wickets at the NF Railway Sports Association Stadium, Maligaon today.
At the Barsapara, in reply to SCR�s mammoth 401 for five in 90 overs, RWF were all out for 330 in 80.2 overs.
At Maligaon, chasing a target of 186 set by DLW, NCR smacked up 189 for the loss of two wickets.
