Haflong, Jan 5:Around 82 girl students from various colleges of Dima Hasao district received the Dr Banikanta Kakati Merit Award at a function held here at the District Library auditorium on Monday.
Among them, five girls were ceremonially presented the keys of scooties by the Chief Executive Member (CEM), NCHAC, Debolal Gorlosa.
The programme was also attended by BB Hagjer, MLA, Ranu Langthasa, Chairperson, NCHAC, and the Executive Members of NCAHAC.
Garlosa, in his speech, congratulated the students for their success and urged them to work for betterment of society.
