GUWAHATI, Oct 26 � Alleging harassment in the name of effecting transfer, primary school teachers of the State today said that the ongoing process of transfers was highly anomalous and it made a mockery of the government directive concerned.
Seeking the intervention of the State Government in this regard, the Asom Rajyik Prathamik Sikshak Sanmilani said that its delegation met the Education Commissioner on Monday and called for effecting proportionate transfer in line with the government directive.
�We gave an authentic complaint with proof about the widespread anomalies taking place in the Education Department over the matter of transfer. The problem has been more acute in the districts of Jorhat, Barpeta and Dhubri districts,� it said.
