GUWAHATI, June 1 - City based Delhi Public School organised an inter school swimming championship at the Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Sonapur on May 28 and 29. Altogether 14 schools of the city took part in the meet where competitions were organised in 48 categories. The championship was inaugurated by Chandralekha Rawat, principal of the host school. Delhi Public School emerged champions while Royal Global School took the second position, a release said.
The best swimmers in different groups are: Mridyutpal Mahanta (Don Bosco, boys U-19), Violina Das (Royal Global, girls U-19), Dhrupad Sarma (Sarala Birla, boys U-16), Reinita Gogoi (Delhi Public, girls U-16), Siddarth Deori (Don Bosco, boys U-12), Lavleen Das (Royal Global, girls U-12).
